The event of the year – The Hlokomela Bush Party

Who says the bush is only for game drives, bush walks and game viewing? No ways, the Hlokomela Bush Party brings the party to the bush in the most epic way ever.

The 11th instalment of the Hlokomela Bush Party was hosted for the first time at Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve on Saturday, 28 June 2025. The event was well attended, and guests were treated to the best that restaurants and lodges had to offer.

Thornybush, The Travelling Chef, Tanda Tula, Mad Dogz Café, Black Chilli Eatery, Moditlo River Lodge, Cape Vulture Lodge, Stoned Olive, and Gracious Living Retirement Haven went all out to prepare top notch harvest tables.

Guests arrived at the venue via shuttle, while others made use of convenient VIP parking facilities on the reserve.

The Roots of Rhythm traditional dance group officially opened the festivities as the sun set over the Lowveld with glasses tinkling to good health and prosperity.

As the sun sank away, the party got underway with a tune to suit every taste from the SilentDisco SA DJ.

Thank you to every business and all the volunteers who contributed to make a success of this fundraising event for Hlokomela (Hoedspruit Training Trust).
