CONCESSION MANAGEMENT COUPLE – OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
Ngamiland Adventure Safaris is seeking an experienced concession management couple for a challenging role in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The couple will oversee the smooth operations of the concession and five camps in the Jao Reserve, ensuring camps adherence to standards, concession and camp maintenance and projects, and an exceptional guest experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: Diploma or higher in Tourism, Business, or related fields.
Experience: 5-10 years in safari management, with at least 3 years in a senior operations role.
Other: Proven experience in key performance areas and willingness to permanently live on-site. Broad technical knowledge and guiding background are advantageous.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Operations Management and Oversight: Provide occasional relief management for camps. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, laws and regulations including licensing, and environment and conservation requirements. Implement and manage the environmental management system.
Administration and Resource Management: Ensure all administration activities are in accordance with company policies. Oversee procurement and stock control processes ensuring efficiency and cost optimisation. Provide reports to head office and manage costs within agreed budgets.
Services and Standards: Regularly visit camps ensuring service and standards levels are upheld, and exceed guest expectations. Provide guidance, support and training to staff to improve standards. Ensure service standards continuously
Assets and Property: Manage preventative maintenance and projects. Implement asset management systems. Oversee and control project and maintenance costs. Ensure road networks, fences around camps, gates to staff villages and waterholes are properly maintained.
Staff Management: Provide support and mentorship to camp management. Oversee and manage camp management and staff performance. Ensure necessary training and development is undertaken. Work closely with HR department.
